What’s in the beta?
Dictation turns speech into text, including spoken corrections, lists, and simple email drafts. Retype changes existing writing or creates a draft from your instruction. History and a personal dictionary support these two features.
What do I need to use SayFast?
An Apple silicon Mac running macOS Sonoma 14 or later, an internet connection, and a Google account. Setup guides you through microphone and Accessibility permissions and lets you choose your shortcuts.
How does the free trial work?
Your 7-day trial starts when you first sign in with Google and connect the app on your Mac. It includes 140 dictation minutes and a separate Retype allowance, shown as a percentage in the app. No card is needed and you won’t be charged automatically. You can connect up to two Macs to your account.
I joined the waitlist. Do I still get a free month?
Yes. Existing waitlist signups receive one month free from account activation, with 600 dictation minutes and a separate Retype allowance. Sign in with the same Google email address you used for the waitlist. Existing activated beta invitations keep their original expiry date. If that address is not a Google account, contact support@sayfast.app for help.
What happens when my trial ends?
Dictation and Retype pause when your access expires or you use the relevant allowance. Your saved history and settings remain available. Paid upgrades are not open yet; contact support@sayfast.app if you need help with access. There is no automatic charge.
Can I dictate in Hindi or Hinglish?
Yes. You can choose Hindi for Devanagari text or Hinglish for Hindi in English letters. You can also select English and other available languages in the app. Automatic detection supports a subset of languages; select other languages manually. Mixed-language speech can vary in accuracy, so check the result before sending.
When should I use Retype?
Use Dictation to get a thought onto the page. Use Retype when you want to change a draft’s tone, shorten it, restructure it, or turn it into an AI prompt. You can also ask Retype for a new draft in an empty text field.
Does it work offline?
Transcription and Retype use cloud processing and need an internet connection. If a recording fails and recovery audio is retained on your Mac, you can retry from History when you’re connected again.
